Even Here, EmmanuelSample

Trusting the Author
When you’re in a season of waiting, it can feel like God has set down His pen and walked away from the page of your life. It feels like you were forgotten, overlooked, or worse, being punished. The silence can sound like absence. But here’s the truth: God never stops writing.
Elizabeth and Zechariah waited for years—decades—for a child. And when the answer finally came, it wasn’t just for them, it was for the world. Their son, John, would prepare the way for Jesus.
Simeon and Anna were prophets who spent their lives waiting in faith for a promise they didn’t fully understand. The faithfully prayed and believed the promise made by God, that they would see the Messiah before they passed. Anna was a widow of 84 years who devoted her days to worship and prayer in the temple. The Bible calls her a prophetess. Simeon was a devout and righteous man who dedicated his life to the Lord. Day in and day out, they trusted, they prayed, they worshiped. Then one ordinary day, they saw the Savior with their own eyes. The Author had not forgotten them.
You may not see what He’s writing yet, but He is not done. The same hand that wrote redemption into their waiting, is writing something beautiful into yours.
Reflection Prompt: Where do I see small signs that God is still writing my story, even here?
Prayer: Author of life, thank You for never putting down the pen. When I can’t see what You’re writing, help me trust that every delay holds purpose. My story is safe in Your hands. Amen.
