The Rescue PlanSample

Mission Still in Motion
Christmas wasn’t the conclusion. It was the beginning of an invasion. Jesus didn’t just come to save us from sin. He came to transfer us from one kingdom into another.
Paul says that we have been delivered from the domain of darkness and brought into the kingdom of the beloved Son, and that rescue plan that God began is still happening in us and through us as we proclaim the gospel of Jesus.
Jesus is the image of the invisible God, the one who holds everything together. He reigns over creation, over the church, and over our lives. The cross was a personal rescue, yes but it was also the first move in the restoration of all things.
Doesn’t that change what Christmas means? It is not just about retelling the story. It’s also about joining the mission. We are now ambassadors of reconciliation. We don’t just celebrate the King. We represent Him wherever we go.
So the question is not just “Have I been rescued?” The question is, “Am I living like someone who has?”
Let’s pray: Jesus, thank You for rescuing me from darkness and bringing me into Your kingdom. Help me remember that I am not just saved. I am sent. Use my life to reflect Your light and love to a world still in need of hope. Amen.
