EquipHer Vol. 33: "The Breaking Point"Sample

Day 5 — Restored Vision
Jesus declared in Luke 4:18 (NIV), “He has sent Me to proclaim recovery of sight to the blind.” Through this verse, Jesus was not only talking about physical healing, but also spiritual sight – the restoration of how we perceive ourselves, our purpose, and our potential.
However, before God restores the vision of what you are trying to build externally, He first restores the vision you have of yourself internally.
When God looks at you, He does not see the woman who failed, hesitated, or compared herself to others – He sees the one He designed. He sees the one He will equip every step of the way, and the one He redeemed for a great purpose.
Vision cannot flow from insecurity; it flows from true identity. When you begin to see yourself the way God does, you begin to see clearly the purpose for which He created and called you, and from there, Habakkuk’s invitation we read about in day one makes perfect sense: “Write the vision; make it plain … though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come” (Habakkuk 2:2–3, ESV).
In Isaiah 55:11 (NIV) we read, “So is My word that goes out from My mouth: it will not return to Me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”
When you write the vision that God has placed in your heart, you are applying the very principle described in Isaiah. You are declaring that God’s Word will be fulfilled, even if you do not yet understand how. Writing the vision becomes concrete, readable, shareable, and helps you remember that His Word is firm and trustworthy.
Do not be discouraged if you do not see everything taking shape immediately. God has not forgotten what He spoke to you, He is simply working behind the scenes to fulfill His promise at precisely the exact time.
Your part is to believe and stay aligned with His Word and the vision He has entrusted to you. The rest, He will do.
Prayer
Lord, thank You because Your Word is Yes and Amen. Today I choose to believe that the promises You made and the vision You planted in my heart are still valid, even if I do not yet see their fulfillment. Help me to renew every thought that leads me to doubt, and renew my trust in Your plan. Teach me to walk with confidence, to build with obedience, and to trust in Your timing. May every word I write in faith become a testimony of Your faithfulness. Amen.
