GOD'S WAITING LISTSample

WHEN DOUBTS CREEP IN- THE LEGACY OF FAITH
Today, I would like to share the testimony of God's mercy and deliverance at the arrival of our son.
After three IVF cycles, two IUI procedures, and few other surgeries, God granted us the gift of a son. I had an emergency CS at 35 weeks as the placenta had detached, I was bleeding internally, as he also struggled in the womb. He was immediately admitted into the NICU, where he battled one health challenge after another.
On the 11th day of life, he flatlined and was without breath or heartbeat for about 40 minutes.
When I got to the NICU, I saw our son literally 'dead'. The Holy Spirit said, "You either mourn or fight". I decided to fight. I stepped out and prostrated on the floor. A popular song by Pastor Nathaniel Bassey, 'Jesus Iyee,' is what I was led to sing aloud.
The Holy Spirit instructed me to enter the courts of heaven with the protocol access to table the matter. At this point, I simply started shouting 'Hallelujah' like crazy as the access protocol of thanksgiving and praise (Psalms 100:4)
I told God that, whether He took our son back or not, I would still worship and serve Him. However, I prayed for His mercy that the heathen not gather in mockery. I repented on behalf of myself and my husband concerning any possible legal ground of the enemy, and asked that the blood of Jesus speak for our son.
The Holy Spirit told me to pray with all of our son's names. His first name, Joshua, which means 'God is deliverance,' was given by our Pastor, Rev. Sam Oye, and was truly prophetic. A woman close by began to console me. I gracefully told her she was not greeting me the right way because I wasn't going to bury my son. I believe the enemy wanted me to give up at this point.
I had studied some spiritual warfare strategies and how to approach God in the courts of heaven, so I knew my stand mattered at that very moment. The Holy Spirit further asked me to worship God with all the names I knew of Him. Thankfully, I had compiled a list of God's names in Yoruba. It was really warfare. I had also called family members, my pastor, and his wife to uphold us in prayers.
Not long after, I heard the doctor shout that he was breathing. I ran back to them, and we started the process of taking him to another facility that had the specific equipment he needed.
Today, as I type this devotional, our son is here with me in my arms. He overcame every obstacle. Yes, he saw death but didn't see decay. God restored his health completely. While on admission, my husband and I continued to pray for him and declare God's Word over him.
It is my prayer that this story encourages your faith in this challenging period.

About this Plan

Are you battling with infertility? As someone who experienced this in my first 12 years of marriage, I know the pain, the challenge and the emotions. In the process, I learnt some vital truths that I believe can be helpful for you. As Scriptures say: 'He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.' 2 Corinthians 1:4, NLT
