Promises

DAY 3 OF 7

How Do I Stand on God’s Promises?

It’s one thing to know God’s promises. It’s another to stand on them.

Standing takes strength, especially when life feels shaky.
When you can’t see what’s next, when prayers seem unanswered, when circumstances don’t match what God said—it’s then that faith becomes more than a word.

To stand on God’s promises means to build your life on His Word, not your feelings.
It means refusing to let fear or disappointment move you away from what you know to be true.
Faith isn’t denial—it’s confidence that God’s truth is more reliable than your situation.

In Ephesians 6:13, Paul says, “After you have done everything, to stand.”
Standing is active faith—it’s perseverance with purpose.
You stand by trusting that what God said is stronger than what you see.

But how do you actually do that?

First, you remember what He’s already done.
Every fulfilled promise is proof of His faithfulness.
When you look back on His track record, it builds your confidence to trust Him again.

Second, you renew your mind with Scripture.
You can’t stand on a promise you don’t know.
That’s why the Bible calls us to meditate on His Word day and night—to rehearse His truth until it becomes our instinct.

Third, you refuse to give up.
Faith doesn’t mean you won’t face challenges—it means you won’t quit in the middle of them.
When you’re tempted to let go, hold tighter.
When you feel like giving in, keep your eyes on Jesus, the One who never lets go of you.

Standing on God’s promises doesn’t mean everything will go according to your timeline.
It means trusting that His timing is always right.
You might feel pressure to act, to fix things yourself—but waiting on God is not wasting time. He’s working while you’re waiting.

And sometimes standing means holding your ground even when others don’t understand.
People may question your hope, your patience, your faith—but that’s okay.
You’re not standing on popular opinion; you’re standing on eternal truth.

When the enemy whispers lies, respond with God’s promises.
When fear rises, declare His Word over your situation.
When the ground beneath you feels unstable, remember: His promises are unshakable.

Standing on God’s promises isn’t just about endurance—it’s about expectation.
It’s believing that what He said will come to pass because His Word cannot fail.

So today, stand firm. Hold the promise, trust the process, and remember—the same God who made the promise will keep it.
