God’s Heart for Increase
God is a God of increase. Long before you desire growth or expansion, He already desires it for you. In Isaiah 54:2–3, God invites His people to “enlarge,” “stretch,” and “expand.” These are not suggestions; they are prophetic instructions. Increase is not simply about having more; it is about becoming more, becoming all God designed you to be.
But biblical increase doesn’t start outside. It begins inside. Before God enlarges your territory, He enlarges your capacity. Before He brings people, opportunities, platforms, or resources, He strengthens your character and broadens your perspective. What feels like a delay is often God doing deep work in you so that what He places in your hands will not overwhelm you.
The Shunammite woman in 2 Kings 4 is a picture of this. She wasn’t seeking a miracle. She wasn’t praying for a child. She was simply living faithfully and generously, and through that posture, God increased her life in unexpected ways.
Where God is present, increase follows. And when your heart is willing, He begins to prepare you for more than you can see.
