When Strength Feels ThinSample

There is a particular kind of ache that comes when someone you depend on is still physically present, yet no longer able to stand beside you in the same way. My husband did not choose to leave this role in my life, and yet I am walking without the companion I once had.
Caregiving has a way of revealing how much strength I quietly leaned on before. And in moments of exhaustion, an old fear surfaces: What if I am left to carry this alone?
This verse meets me right there. God does not promise ease or predictability. He promises presence.
Some days, I wish for reassurance in louder ways. But what steadies me is quieter than that. God goes with me into work, caregiving, and unanswered questions. He stays.
If you are carrying something that feels too much for one person, this promise is for you too. God does not leave when the days grow long and strength runs thin.
