Why Jesus BledSample

What is your favourite facial feature? šš»āāļø
What is your favourite facial feature? Do you like your nose, smile or eyes? For me, itās my dimples. I have a full one on my left cheek and a tiny one on the right, and Zac inherited them the same way from me.š„°
If you asked a Jewish man in Biblical times, he would likely proudly say, āMy beard.ā
Beards were a symbol of manhood, authority, and social status. They represented strength and virilityādistinguishing men from boys.
Thatās why ripping out someoneās beard was considered the ultimate insult during punishment (Nehemiah 13:25 and 2 Samuel 10:4).
Men condemned to death by crucifixion always had their beards torn from their faces to cause shame and humiliation.
The third time Jesus bled for you was when His beard was ripped out:
āI offered my back to those who beat me, my cheeks to those who pulled out my beard; I did not hide my face from mocking and spitting.ā ā Isaiah 50:6 NIV
Jesus was subjected to the ultimate shame a Jewish man could suffer to cleanse us from our shame.
āHow much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!ā ā Hebrews 9:14 NIV
When we put our faith in Jesus and receive all that he accomplished for us on the cross, shame no longer has a hold on us!
āAnyone who believes in Him will never be put to shame.ā ā Romans 10:11 NIV
Next time you look in the mirror, remember that Jesus bore your shame so that you could stand tallāunashamed and fully loved.
Hey! You are a Chamatkar.
