Bible Survey: Part FourSample

James was written by Jesus' half-brother James, who was a leader in the church of Jerusalem. It is one of the earliest books in the New Testament, which is why it is written to Jewish Christians. At this early date, virtually all Christians are of Jewish descent. James appears to be concerned that some people who claim to be Christians aren't really Christians. Evidence of real faith is the ability to grow through difficulties and how they treat others. James sees that faith in Jesus should be impacting how we act.
