Accept the invitation.

God established the seasons with a purpose. He has a plan for each one of them in our lives. We must walk with Him, discern the season, and learn from it. There is something positive and there is a revelation of God for us in every season.

I do not know which season you are living in, whether you are having a difficult day or a good one, whether you are in the middle of uncertainty, in a time of waiting, or perhaps going through a season of simply not understanding why certain things are happening, or maybe God has even said "no" to you. But I know one thing: you can choose what to trust and depend on in this season, and with whom to open your heart.

The truth is that we cannot overcome the processes we face in each season of life on our own. And I believe God does this deliberately, to draw us closer to Him, into a life of total dependence on Him. This is how He created us: to walk closely with Him, relating to Him every single day, just as He did with Adam and Eve in the Garden. Every day, God came down to meet them and have intimacy with them. Every day God is available, waiting for you in the secret place to have a relationship with you! He desires to speak with you, to give you wisdom and strategy for every season of your life. The discernment you need, the strength, the renewal, the peace, all of it is available in that secret place with Him.

There is an invitation from Him to you: come to Him! And He will give you rest. Take His yoke upon you, and you will rest.

Perhaps you have already read that verse in Matthew 11:28–30 or heard it many times throughout your life, but today my prayer is that you receive a revelation from God that goes beyond mere information. A revelation of the Word that is engraved upon your heart, bringing a true understanding of what He desires to say to you.

A yoke is a wooden device used to join oxen or draft animals to a plow or cart. It makes heavy work easier. In this passage, Jesus was saying, "Come walk close to me, side by side, and I will give you rest!"

You don't need to go through this season alone. Jesus is near! He desires to be your companion on the journey. He wants to walk right beside you helping you, sustaining you, strengthening you, and giving you joy, peace, and rest in every season.

Come into the presence of God. Choose to be in that place the place of intimacy with God, of a father-and-child relationship. When you make that choice, there is a promise: He will give you rest.

The Word of God is the truth about you. Take hold of that Word today, accept the invitation, come to Him, and receive true rest.

In Psalm 62, the psalmist commands his own soul, and you can do the same today: "Rest in God alone, O my soul; my hope comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress. I will not be shaken!"

Declare this command over your life today. Take control of your emotions and submit them to the Lord Jesus. Declare who God is to you, your hope in Him, and who you are in Him. You are what God says you are. You can do what God says you can do. You are not moved by what you see, nor by what you feel, but by the Word of God, which is the absolute truth about you.

Trust in Him. Pour out your heart in His presence today. Lay everything you are feeling at the foot of the cross. Accept the invitation, come to Him, and receive true rest.
