Removing the RootsSample

Today, we're asking the Holy Spirit to reveal hurt and pain that's showing up in your life as anger, hatred, bitterness, or lack of self-control. When you love your Heavenly Father, you hate sin and grieve what He grieves.

David was aware of his sin and became vulnerable before the Lord, saying a prayer of repentance (Psalm 139:23-24). Remove all distractions (Psalm 121:1-2), don't open another app. Rest in the presence of God (Psalm 37:7-9) and say this prayer:

My Heavenly Father, I come before you as your son/daughter, ready and willing to reveal every hard thing and hurtful thing that has altered my mind and broken my heart. I release the person/people associated with this incident. I forgive them as You have forgiven me. Holy Spirit, reveal to me what I am dealing with. Give me clarity on what needs to be uprooted from my life. I no longer want my thoughts, actions, and understanding to come from this lie. I believe Your Word. It is truth, it is healing, it is power. I am chosen, a royal priesthood, a holy nation for your own possession. I am forgiven. I am redeemed by the precious Blood of Jesus Christ. Thank you for loving me so much that you died on the cross for my sins, so I don't have to be judged and pay the price for my sins. I am in right standing with you. I am loved and favored by You. I live from a place of acceptance. I am healed and made whole. I denounce every lie from the enemy. I come out of agreement with anger, bitterness, lust, greed, offense, and any spirit that is not of God. I rebuke every curse and stronghold on my life. I apply the Blood of Jesus to my life. The enemy has to pass over me. God, I want a fresh anointing. Holy Spirit, fill me. Holy fire from God, consume me. Use me, Lord. I submit my life to You. I want to be used by You to proclaim the Good News. My testimony will set other people free. Thank you, Lord, for setting me free. I am forever Yours. In Jesus' mighty, matchless, and sovereign name I pray, amen.

Now meditate, read aloud, slowly, and rehearse His Word in your mind. This is your identity. This is who you are through Jesus Christ, your Lord and Savior. Nothing else applies or has power over you! You are FREE!
