Surrender, Faith, and Purpose
Your desire to learn and live in your purpose should never overshadow your primary goal of surrendering and obeying God. While striving to understand your purpose is commendable, it must always be rooted in faith, surrender, and obedience to God. Living a purposeful life apart from Him leads to accomplishment without His glory, resulting in spiritual death.
King Saul’s story illustrates this truth well. Though anointed by God as king, his worldly successes came at the cost of obedience and surrender. Success in the eyes of the world does not guarantee success in God’s eyes. This serves as a warning not to let personal ambition eclipse your surrender to God.
Obedience is foundational for walking in your purpose. When you fully surrender, intimacy with God deepens, allowing Him to reveal your purpose. Give your life completely to God, and obedience will become second nature.
Faith is the bedrock of our relationship with God, as Hebrews 11:6 emphasizes. Seeking God diligently, regardless of your circumstances, invites His response. David’s declaration, “I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears,” encourages relentless pursuit of God.
Waiting on the Lord is an active posture of trust and expectation. God prepares and strengthens you during this time, not only to receive but to sustain what He has planned for you. Mark 11:24 reminds us to believe that we have received what we ask for, and it will be ours.
If unbelief arises, ask God to help you overcome it. Keep a journal of answered prayers to rekindle your faith. God desires for you to fulfill the purpose He has ordained.
When ready, ask God to reveal your purpose, destiny, and assignments. Remain in His presence patiently and persistently until He responds.

What areas of your life still need full surrender? Do you genuinely believe God will answer you? Are you seeking God diligently and waiting with expectation? How are you using the spiritual gifts God has given you?
Prayer
Lord, help me surrender fully, obey completely, and walk faithfully in the purpose You have ordained for me. Strengthen my faith as I wait on You, and reveal the purpose, destiny, and assignments You have prepared for my life.
