Growth requires more than information. It requires transformation.

Life is constantly shifting. Seasons change. Opportunities appear. Doors open that didn’t exist before. The question is never whether change will come…the question is how we will respond when it does.

Some people resist change.

They cling to what is familiar.

They hold tightly to old patterns, old thinking, and old methods…even when God is trying to lead them into something greater.

But those who grow…
those who expand…
those who walk in wisdom…
are the ones willing to be stretched.

Jesus gave us a powerful picture of this in: “And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins.” Mark 2:22 (NIV)

New wine requires new capacity.

God will often bring new insight, new wisdom, new strategy, new favor…but if we try to force it into old thinking, old pride, old habits, or old limitations, we can miss what He is doing.

The new season requires a renewed mind.
Wisdom invites us to stay teachable. Wisdom invites us to stay flexible.
Wisdom invites us to grow beyond where we have been.

That is why Proverbs 9:9 (NIV) says:
“Instruct the wise, and they will be wiser still; teach the righteous and they will add to their learning.”

The wise are not defensive.
The wise are not stubborn.
The wise are not locked into yesterday’s understanding.
The wise keep expanding.

They recognize that God is always moving His people from glory to glory, from one level of growth to the next. And every new level requires a willingness to release the old wineskin so the new wine can flow.

So don’t resist the stretch.

If God is revealing a better way…
Lean into it.

If He is expanding your thinking…
Receive it.

If He is calling you higher…
Rise to meet it.

Because increase often begins the moment we become willing to change.

When we align ourselves with God’s wisdom, we don’t shrink…we expand. We don’t lose…we grow. We don’t stay stuck…we move forward.

And what once felt impossible begins to open before us.
