The Breath of Impartation
When the woman with the issue of blood touched Jesus, He felt "virtue" or power leave Him. This is the mystery of ministry: when you serve and teach, something is leaving you. You aren't just giving a lecture; you are "breathing" who you are onto the people. If you are filled with secret anxiety, competition, or pride, that is what is imparted. But if you are saturated in the Spirit, your words carry a weight that notes cannot provide. Impartation happens when your private life of integrity meets sound doctrine.
Reflection/Action: Ask yourself: "What is the 'fragrance' of my life right now? What am I breathing onto my team and family?" Spend 10 minutes in silence, asking the Holy Spirit to refill your "virtue."
Prayer: Holy Spirit, breathe on me so that when I speak, I impart Your life and not just my ideas. Let what leaves me be a blessing to those who hear me. Amen.
