Beyond Generations.

God is such as awesome God. He just is. We have talked about obedience, we have seen how God blessed Abraham because he obeyed God's commands. But what about Isaac? Well, guess what? God certainly didn't forget about Isaac. He said in Genesis 26, He will bless Isaac because Abraham obeyed Him. Wow! Talk about the significance of obedience. Often times we take God's commands lightly. We know we are not supposed to lie, that we are supposed to be generous, that we shouldn't hate our enemies, but do we really listen and do them? Not always. Abraham here, he did all the things God wanted him to do and look what happened to him. God blesses him beyond the borders of generations. He even blesses Isaac and his descendants simply because his father had listened to Him in the first place.

The next time we think about not obeying God, think about how God values our obedience, think about how pleased God will be when we follow His will. He's the same God that Abraham had obeyed and worshipped. If He can bless Abraham and Isaac and his descendants, He can do the same (perhaps even more) to us.
