Obedience: Calvary Hong KongSample

DELAYED OBEDIENCE
There are things in life which has more value when it is completed on time. How often we delay things when we are asked to do? As Christians, it’s easy to delay obedience. Sometimes we know the right thing to do but still we don’t want to do it. Every parent knows that delayed obedience is considered as disobedience.
In real life, delayed obedience can also have severe consequence. Story of Jonah shows us that the trouble he had to go through due to the delayed obedience – caught up in a violent storm, thrown into the raging sea, swallowed by the great fish and vomited him on the dry land! Likewise, if we delay our obedience, we could miss God’s call upon our lives.
Is obedience today is the same as obedience tomorrow? Is there any area where you have delayed your obedience to God?
