Kong Hee: Stepping Into Your Purpose

DAY 3 OF 5

How God Can Use Small Faith In Big Ways

My wife, Sun, and I were invited to attend an interchurch service in the late ‘90s. There was a man who came into the service with a severe degenerative bone disease. He had metallic braces all the way from his chest to his feet. What’s more, his condition was terminal.

At the end of the service, he hobbled up to us and said, “Pastor Kong and Sun, could you please pray for me?” I had never prayed for a man with such a rare condition. And by that time, all the other ministers had left the building. But with just a small amount of faith, Sun and I laid hands on him and began to pray. We prayed for over an hour for this man, and within a few weeks, he had thrown away his crutches, taken off his braces, and was totally healed of the bone disease! Today, he’s alive and well, serving as an elder in the Lutheran Church.

Jesus said that faith as small as a mustard seed could move mountains (Matthew 17:20). It didn’t take a great amount of faith for this man to be healed. Don’t ever believe your faith isn’t enough to do great things. Cling tightly to Jesus, because He will use the little you have to do great and extraordinary things!

Prayer for the day:

Ask God to give you the confidence to be bold with a faith rightly placed in Jesus Christ!

About this Plan

Kong Hee: Stepping Into Your Purpose

When you receive a vision from God, you will often experience an initial sense of intimidation or inadequacy. Entering into God’s vision requires faith! In Genesis, God called Abraham to step out of his tent to see clearly what great things He had in store for him. Likewise, you need to step out from your personal comfort zone in order to pursue God’s plan and purpose over your life!
