Looking for Opportunities Around You
Everyday we get up and move through the routine of our day. We encounter others all around us. At home, at work and at school. It is easy to carry on with our routines without ever seeing others. Then we hear or read verses about being salt and light and we think “When do I ever have that opportunity?” Larry DeWitt shares how he looked around and saw his neighbors. By taking a short moment to listen and pray, he was able to be salt and light in his community.

Every time you see someone you know, pause and greet them, as time allows. Give them a word of encouragement. As you do this you will open the door to share more and more of who you are… and of Who God is! A word, a sentence or an opportunity to pray with someone. All of these are ways to be salt and light where God has placed you.
About this Plan

Your faith can shine to those around you as you become more open. There are many ways to start sharing your faith as a natural part of your everyday life. Each of these devotionals contains a short audio message ( 1-2 minutes ). They contain ideas like being more natural, listening better and praying for God to give you opportunities to share about Him
