Revelation: The Unveiling Of Jesus Christ

DAY 1 OF 5

The unveiling of Jesus and His bride

This is the unveiling of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to share with his loving servants what must occur swiftly.  He clearly made it known (signified) by sending his angel to his loving servant John. I, John, bore witness to the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. – Revelation 1:1–2 The Passion Translation

Everyone should read the book of Revelation, and when you do, get ready to be challenged and rocked as you study the book of Revelation and discern the glory that is coming to the earth! Keep in mind as you read Revelation that it’s much more than a manual of coming events. It is an unveiling of Jesus and His bride. There is much to see from the book of revelation, so open your heart and ask the Lord for eyes that see.

The most deeply spiritual book of the New Testament is before you now. Revelation is a book written for you, to satisfy your craving to be one with Jesus Christ. It is something that must be “eaten” (Rev. 10:9) if it is to be understood. It has the power to profoundly change a generation who gives heed to what has been written. It is a meal to be savored.

Revelation is a book of symbols that require discernment, time, and the Holy Spirit before we learn the meaning of the symbols. They will yield their meaning, but it takes time. Therefore, to understand the book of Revelation requires time. It can be compared to learning a foreign language. Be patient, don’t expect to get all God has given us in the book of Revelation in one weekend. The Holy Spirit has waited 2,000 years to teach those who are ready to hear it.

Of all the sixty-six books that comprise our Bible, the last book is meant to thrill and exhilarate the believer. A beautiful Christ is unveiled, and an overcoming company of saints is seen rising into his fullness. The book of Revelation is exciting, powerful, dynamic, and more than meets the eye. It can be more to us than merely an unveiling of events to come, but an experience of encountering Christ.

The most important preparation for reading the book of Revelation is to prepare your own heart to receive it. God is ready to unveil this book to those in this generation who are ready to embrace it, eat it, and live fully in the splendor of Christ. This is more than a vision given to John; it is meant to be “an inward discovery,” a delightful unveiling within us. This is not a drama of Satan’s worst, but a supernatural drama of “God’s best,” pouring through his beautiful Son, Jesus Christ.
