When Disappointment HurtsSample
Day 2 - Do Not Throw Away Your Trust in God
Our mighty, steady, constant God is the anchor to your soul. An anchor that keeps you stable when the sea rages and the storm pounds relentlessly. This anchor provides hope that you won’t be lost or overtaken by the waters. Having it will keep you afloat until the storm passes.
God has always been there for you, is there for you now, and will always be there for you. It’s His nature and character. You can trust Him with the messiest, darkest, most painful seasons because He is your Father and He is for you. For you like no one else can be.
What this means for you is that in your disappointment, your trust in Him doesn’t have to waver. Your circumstances might be shaky or concerning like the drought brought on by intense heat, but that doesn’t change who God is. Your situation might be uncertain, but don’t let that lead you to be uncertain about God.
Through confidence in the Father, plant roots deep in Him. Sit in His beautiful presence, gather up His words as water for your soul, and have faith that He is with you. Allow His provision in the drought to keep you vibrant and healthy. Unless you can be steady in the storm, you’ll waver in your faith.
Don’t throw away that trust. Hold onto it for dear life and don’t let go.
