The Resurrection Mural
The Resurrection Mural, for Ron, is his Magnum Opus. It stands over 43 feet wide, and 13 feet high. Before he painted it, he studied to prepare himself with all the details he could find on that greatest of all events. This led him to harness the power of Warner Brother’s Studios in the making of the tomb amongst other things. Also, as a special tribute to the great artists of our time, Ron also included, as models for the Biblical characters in the painting, some of the most famous artists that are living today.
Many times while painting, Ron would weep at the magnitude of what God did through Jesus in that Resurrection moment. He remembers telling God as he was talking with Him, that if he did not stop crying he would not be able to finish the mural. God answered graciously and unexpectedly, “It’s OK, Ron. You are not doing it anyway!”
