Kingdom Do’s & Don’ts—Disciple Makers Series #7Sample

Te Golden Rule
How would you summarise God’s Kingdom law? Just like this verse.
It summarizes everything of God’s Law—just have God’s heart for other people.
What does that look like? Isaiah 58 is a passage that describes some of this in practice. It also describes how God will release His blessing on us when we do it. So read it carefully. Choose one of the more challenging ones for you—and do it today.
Time to Pray
Father, as I read Isaiah 58, I see how easily I focus on the problems that people cause me. Today I will focus on the blessing that they are to me. I will not allow their problems to determine my reaction but I will bless them. Father, at times they do things that prevent me from moving forward as You want. Give me patience and faith just to keep moving—and you take care of the roadblocks. In Jesus’ name Amen.

About this Plan

Matthew writes to God’s people and walks them on a journey that will take them from where they are to be Disciple Makers. This is the seventh of 27 devotional plans walking us through the book of Matthew. Jesus talks about the “do’s and don’ts” of His kingdom. How to sum up the Kingdom: see others like God sees them, and treat them like God treats them.
