GOODNESS
The story of Christmas is around the goodness of God. God had planned the story of Christmas when man sinned in the garden of Eden. God created man in His own image to have a relationship with Him.God made man giving him the choice to obey and be in a relationship with Him or disobey and have sin separate from God. Man chose the later when he disobeyed God and ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
In the garden of Eden the devil seemed to have overcome God’s plan. The story of Christmas was the beginning of God giving man a chance to reconcile and make amends with Him without the law which included blood shed the Mosaic law demanded.
Today we have the same choice, of accepting the death of Jesus whose birth is the story of Christmas and having eternal life(the purpose with which God created man) or rejecting his goodness and having eternal death in hell (man’s choice when he sinned in the garden of Eden).
Thought for today:
Have I accepted the goodness of God in my life?

Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faith, Gentleness, Self Control are the Fruits of the spirit. Interestingly we see these in the characters of the Christmas story. The fruits of the spirit are seen in those who choose to follow God and allow His purposes to be fulfilled in their lives.
