Like a house, a relational connection needs to have specific elements to complete its structure, or it will be unsafe and vulnerable to disaster. The foundation of every relationship is unconditional acceptance, the agreement that "You get to be you and I get to be me in this relationship." Upon this foundation, you can build the pillars of love, truth, honor, self-control, responsibility, faith, and vision.
- Do you have any relationships in which you feel you are not “fully you”?
- Do you have any relationships in which you feel unconditionally accepted? How strong is this connection?
