There’s nothing more satisfying than a cold glass of water on a hot sunny day. It’s refreshing and satisfying to be able to quench our thirst with water when it’s hot outside. In that moment, it’s like this big sigh of relief as you take gulp after gulp of cold, refreshing water. I’m probably making you thirsty with this analogy.

In our times of desperation, feeling worn down, and even doubt, there’s nothing more satisfying than the peace that only God can bring us. The problem is, that sometimes God is the last place we turn. So often we turn to a friend, a night out, or even things that aren’t good for us, to try and bring some joy and refreshing when we are down. Though some of these things may satisfy us temporarily, we ultimate are still left thirsty for the only one who can truly satisfy.

The love of God is like a constant flowing waterfall of grace, mercy, protection, encouragement, and safety that is at our disposal at anytime. When you’re down, when you’re left feeling empty and depleted, immerse yourself in the ever-flowing love of God, and you will be truly satisfied.
