Evanghelia după Marcu Îl prezintă pe Isus ca Fiul lui Dumnezeu, Cel ce a fost dispus să moară pentru păcatele omenirii. Această Evanghelie ne amintește de dragostea copleșitoare a lui Isus pentru oameni. El nu a renunțat doar la autoritatea și poziția Sa din ceruri, ci S-a și umilit și a devenit un slujitor . Nu a ascultat doar de Dumnezeu, ci a slujit oamenilor păcătoși.
