The Daily Dose: 30 Days to a Healthy Soul預覽
Fresh Starts
Jeremiah 33:3 "Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known."
Today is the first day of the rest of your life. It’s the beginning of a new year. If you know me at all, you know that I’m all about fresh starts. New pages. Second chances. Grace poured out over and over again. I can’t think of anything more exciting than the first day of the new year to shout out fresh start! No matter how great or how challenging your last year went, today is a new day, an opportunity to start again.
I wonder what the new year will bring for you? Will it be your year of breakthrough? Will it be your year of finally finding the victory you’ve been hoping for? Will you use every day you’re given for God’s glory? Will you do what it takes to change, even if it hurts a little at first? In Jeremiah 33:3, God encourages us to talk to Him. He asks us to ask Him about the details of our life. He promises to help us find the answers to the things we're confused about.
The best part is that you’re not in this alone. As you begin a new year, rest assured that God is on your side. His grace will sustain you. His spirit will empower you. His Word will be your guide. All God wants is for you to take that first step towards Him. Ask Him to show you what He wants for you this year. Ask Him to whisper a word of hope to set the tone for the next twelve months.
Tell Him your hopes and your dreams. Make new commitments, and ask Him to help you keep them.
Questions:
Ask God to give you a word or a verse (or both) to set the tone for the new year. Listen as you read His Word, and hear Him speak personally and specifically to you.
