Wounded Warrior: Naaman預覽

The Wounded Warrior
Wounds measure the distance between expectation and reality.
This is what Naaman expected when Elisha summoned him from the distressed King:
- Elisha wanted to see him.
- Elisha would perform for him.
- Elisha would heal him.
All of Naaman's expectations were completely wrong. His self-centered faith rested on the actions of Elisha. And, because his expectations weren't met, he was wounded and defaulted to fury, which revealed his trust in anger.
Anger is a warm blanket and a defensive shield.
Those who wear it often feel at home in their fiery habit. Righteous indignation can be a useful tool in the right hands, but Naaman's faith in his anger nearly caused him to miss out on God's blessing.
Challenge:
- Discuss a time when your wound almost caused you to miss God's blessing.
