Elohim : The Creator God

Elohim is the name by which God is introduced in the very first verse of the Bible.

Gen 1:1 In the beginning, God [Elohim] created the heavens and the earth

It comes from the Hebrew root word El, which means strength and unlimited power. Elohim also means Mighty God.

Elohim is stronger and more powerful than anyone or anything. He is the God powerful enough to create the world from nothing!

A scientist once defied God and said that he too can create just like God. So a day was decided to display man’s new powers. As the scientist bent to pick up the soil from the earth to start creating, God held his hand and said, “Get your own raw materials!” The scientist realised how much ever science can make progress, only God is capable of creating things out of nothing!

Rev 4:11 You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power, For You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created.

Our starting point is -we exist because He created us and decided that we should exist. That is why we worship Him!

Smith Wigglesworth said, “Our God has not forgotten how to create!”

Do you long to see your God-given dreams take shape and become a reality? Elohim God has not forgotten how to create!

He is also the God who is strong enough to handle anything you may face. When you are dealing with impossible circumstances, know that Elohim is able to help you overcome any difficulty in life.

Declarations:

Your voice, O Lord, is powerful. Your voice, O Lord, is full of majesty. Ps 29:4

You are the God who gives life to the dead and You call those things which do not exist as though they did. Rom 4:17

I praise You, my Creator God, and declare that all the glory, all the honor, all the power and thanks belong to You alone. Rev 4:11

Let’s pray:

Bring your weaknesses before our God and ask for His strength to manifest in all your weaknesses.

Pray that the fear of God would be in you and that you would hate sin. Pray that you would begin to love purity.

Confess all known sin and ask Him to cleanse you with the blood of Jesus.
