Daily Bible Reading — Sustained By God’s Word Of Forgiveness & Mercy預覽
August 14
Introduction
As we read in chapters 7-10, the king of Egypt remained stubborn and refused to give the Israelites their freedom. With each plague, the king would ask Moses to intercede to bring relief, promising to let the Israelites go but then reneging. God punished the Egyptians with a series of devastating plagues, including swarming frogs, gnats, flies, locusts, hailstorms, the death of animals, sores, and darkness. In today’s reading, Moses warns the king that Egypt’s punishment will culminate with the death of all first-born Egyptian sons along with the death of all first-born cattle.
Today’s Scripture: Exodus 11:9
The LORD had said to Moses, “The king will continue to refuse to listen to you, in order that I may do more of my miracles in Egypt.”
