Unstoppable God預覽
"There's a million ways You’ve been good to me; so many broken pieces mercy has redeemed."
Thankfulness is more than just a moment: it is a lifestyle.
It is a posture that we must live in daily, because it is more important than we think. What do we have to be grateful for? Well, everything. Nothing is guaranteed to us. So that breath you took upon waking is a gift. The ache in your back means you are alive. The roof over your head keeping you dry at night. The food you ate, the friend you had coffee with, the clothes you put on: all gifts, all worth extreme gratitude.
Yet in the land of plenty, we don’t always think to be grateful. Envy is the great destroyer of gratitude. We cannot be grateful for what we have, because we often spend time wanting more, “needing” more.
We waste what we do have on the desire for what we don’t.
Maybe today is a good day to think of the countless ways in which God has taken care of you.
You see, true happiness isn’t found in your talent, or your accumulation of stuff and money. No, true happiness is knowing that no one can take away the thing that brings happiness! All of your worldly possessions can be taken away. All of that stuff you planned for, worked for, struggled for, can disappear in a moment. But knowing who you are can never be taken from you!
Today instead of planning for what you want, maybe look back and see the wonderful ways God has walked with you through your life. Recognize that He has always been there, redeeming the brokenness, providing your needs. Maybe today you can step out of the craziness of life for a moment and just breathe… and then be grateful for that breath.
After all, He’s never let us down, nor left our side. He’ll be faithful all our days! In a million ways!
