"Your Love Is Our Favorite Song"
God is love. As oversimplified as that may sound, it is the foundational message of the Gospel. That at the core of God’s perfect, holy character is love. He is not only loving, but is himself the definition of love.
He created us in love. He sustains us in love. He sent his son because of love. Jesus died on the cross because of love. And the list goes on. He sent his Spirit who fills us with the fruit of love.
He gave us his church so that we might extend his love to the world that desperately needs it. He has promised to return and make all things right. He provides our every need. He extends mercy AND justice. He judges rightly and defends the weak and mends the broken. He is compassionate and patient and kind. All because of this one truth – God is love. Who he is defines what he does.
And so to sing of the love of God is not to sing about some fluffy greeting card character trait. This is not a gushy soap opera love. Singing the truth of God’s love comforts us in dark days and humbles us when things are great; it emboldens us to approach the throne of grace, both corporately with the family of God gathered together, and personally in secret when no one is looking.
There is a reason the Psalmist says, “I will sing of the steadfast love of the Lord forever!” That song will never end because the love of God will never end and we will have all of eternity to see it in new and dazzling light every moment. Of all the songs out there that our hearts could be singing, the love of God tops them all.

關於此計劃
The Psalms are full of rich truth and deep emotion. The writers didn’t ignore the world around them or try to pretend their problems weren’t real. Instead, they drew from the truth they knew about God (his words, his ways, his character) to shape their worship and worldview. We have the privilege and joy of drawing from this well of truth to encourage our own souls today.
