Daily Prayers for Grieving Hearts: A 21-Day Plan for Comfort on the Road to Recovery預覽
HE IS OUR PEACE
“Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Don’t let your heart be troubled or fearful.” JOHN 14:27
These words from Jesus are so comforting and true. He’s made it so that, no matter how low our posture, we can breathe in His peace, which brings comfort to our deepest pain. It scatters every ounce of fear that the enemy has instilled. It calms the most violent of cries from a broken heart. His peace brings supernatural order to chaos and stillness in the soul, surpassing all human ability or logic. His Spirit of peace resides in us in full measure when we relinquish our own efforts and will into His hands and keep Him in the forefront of our hearts. His peace isn’t what the world says will help us, but the world doesn’t know Him. Jesus came not only to proclaim peace for all the nations but also for our hurting hearts. Let us all abide by it today and the next. It is good for all time.
Lord Jesus, I need Your peace. I breathe it in now and ask that You guard my heart against anything that tries to take it away. Your peace is life to my soul. It sustains my every step, thought, and move as I pick up the pieces of my life. You are the Giver and Sustainer of all that I need. I rest in that today and bask in the serenity I can have no matter the mess that’s around me. I love You, and rest in Your love for me.
IN YOUR GREAT AND MIGHTY NAME, I PRAY. AMEN.
關於此計劃
Grief has many phases, and some phases make it difficult for us to find the words or motivation to pray. In the moments when we need God the most but can’t seem to connect with Him, this 21-day reading plan can give us language to bridge the gap. It helps you remember that God is close to the brokenhearted, deeply attentive to your pain, and capable of healing and restoring all of us. Each day, read a short message about a promise from God, find a corresponding Scripture, and let the daily prayer guide your time with the Lord.
