Daily Prayers for Grieving Hearts: A 21-Day Plan for Comfort on the Road to Recovery預覽
HE IS WITH YOU
[The two disciples] were deep in conversation, going over all these things that had happened. In the middle of their talk and questions, Jesus came up and walked along with them. But they were not able to recognize who He was. LUKE 24:14–16 THE MESSAGE
Three days after Jesus’ death and resurrection, two disciples were walking together, talking about what had happened. They were discouraged and probably feeling downcast and abandoned by the Savior. And then, Jesus “came up and walked with them.” The men didn’t recognize Him, but He was there, very much a part of their conversation and journey. They invited Him to spend the evening, which He did, and only then did they realize who He was. Jesus had been with them all along. He walked their same road of distress; He participated in the discussion; He stayed with them until they finally recognized His presence. And, in the same way, Jesus is walking with you now. He hears every word and prayer and feels your heartache and struggle.
Lord Jesus, I trust that You are with me now and that You are very much a part of what I’m going through. I want You to speak into my heart and help me navigate through this journey I’m on. I’m grateful to know You are near, regardless of how I feel. The truth is, You are with me, You won’t leave, and I need You more than ever today, tomorrow, and the next day. Thank You, Lord, for the comfort this brings.
I LOVE YOU AND PRAY THIS IN YOUR NAME. AMEN.
關於此計劃
Grief has many phases, and some phases make it difficult for us to find the words or motivation to pray. In the moments when we need God the most but can’t seem to connect with Him, this 21-day reading plan can give us language to bridge the gap. It helps you remember that God is close to the brokenhearted, deeply attentive to your pain, and capable of healing and restoring all of us. Each day, read a short message about a promise from God, find a corresponding Scripture, and let the daily prayer guide your time with the Lord.
