Parasha Minute: Genesis / Breisheet預覽
"In the Beginning, the Word"
What a resounding echo of a now-familiar phrase that brings us back to the opening lines of Genesis. The writer of this gospel, as someone raised in Jewish tradition, would have been well-acquainted with the Torah and those first words of Genesis. He recognized who Yeshua really was: the Word, co-creator together with the Lord God, who was there at the beginning. Like the author of a spectacular novel who keeps the hero’s identity a secret, God intended to send Yeshua as salvation for humankind…the One foretold of in the earliest prophesies. Points to Ponder: May we all, like John, scrutinize Scripture for its revelations: Yeshua as the One of whom the prophets spoke, who was there from the very beginning.
