The Lord Bless You預覽
When God says, “Bless you,” and then lavishes blessings on you, the appropriate response is to receive His blessings with passion and say, “Thank You.”
God enjoys those who know how to receive Him and His blessings. He has given so much and has so much more He wants to give. When we receive God’s blessings, when we pause and express gratitude in response to His gifts, we create a blessing boomerang. He blesses us. We receive His blessing, which blesses Him. And then He blesses us more. It is amazing that when we receive God’s blessing and say, “Thank You,” we bless God.
On the reverse, ingratitude is also very powerful. Be gently warned: Ingratitude has negative potential to keep you from the blessings God wants so much for you. Being ungrateful is not just impolite, it is a vice, and it is destructive. Ingrates have the power to destroy themselves and desperately damage others. We must surround ourselves with life-giving, grateful people. We must be life-giving, grateful people.
Gratitude helps us see and receive God’s promised blessings. Ingratitude closes our hearts and eyes to those possibilities. As much as He wants to, God cannot bless an ingrate.
We are not told to be thankful for every circumstance but in all circumstances. God is working everything together in our favor, what the enemy meant for evil God will use for good, and ultimately every wrong thing in this world will be made right in the age to come. As we look for the good in every situation and give copious thanks for the good, God’s blessings will continue to flow.
