EQUAL SONSHIP IN THE FATHER’S LOVE (1)

The world doesn’t know that God loves us the same way He loves Jesus, and most of us Christians also somehow believe that God loves Jesus more than He loves us.

Years ago, I pastored a very wayward girl, even though her parents were pastors. She loved God but was always in and out of men’s beds. At one point, she was impregnated by a Muslim man, and a ‘Christian’ doctor aborted the pregnancy. When she came back to church, the Lord told us to ask about her family history. Her father, as a young married man, had an extramarital affair and she (the young lady) was the product of that affair. The man’s wife, whom everyone assumed to be the girl’s biological mother, accepted the baby and forgave her husband. However, her siblings, the biological children of that woman, always taunted her when their parents were not at home. They rejected her and told her that she was not one of them. The rejection pushed this lady into a desperate search for love and acceptance to the point that she confused love for sex. She was promiscuous because she was starved of love and acceptance by her siblings’ constant reminders of her illegitimate status in the family.

You need to understand that you won’t walk with the confidence of a child of God until you are sure that you are not an adopted son of God. Don’t allow the devil to lie to you that you are not an equal son of God like every other child of God because of something in your life or something you did in the past.

PRAYER: I refuse every lie of the devil around my status as an equal son/daughter of God like every other child of God, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
