The Story of My Life - Seeing Yourself in the Life of Moses預覽
Cry Out to God
Invitation to SELAH
Before you spend time face-to-face with God today, take some time to SELAH (Stop, Exhale, Lean In, Ask & Hear).
Reflect
Let’s take a look at what the people did and God’s response to them. These verses say the Israelites groaned and cried out to God. You might be thinking, “Wait, is that all? You mean they didn’t have to do something else to make God notice them? They didn’t have to clean up their act or have better behavior for God to respond?” That’s exactly right. God’s love for us is not dependent on making ourselves seem more attractive to Him.
The Israelites groaned and cried out, but what does this passage say God did? God heard their cries, remembered His promises, looked down, and knew it was time to act! Today, if you need God’s help, all you need to do is cry out.
Be honest, be vulnerable, be humble, and be authentic. Cry out to God day after day and He will rescue those who know they are in need of His rescue. Today, take time to write out and confess some areas in your life where you need God’s help because you can’t do it on your own.
Respond
Text a friend and share what God taught you today and ask them to share where they need God to rescue them. Type out a prayer for them or call them on the phone and pray that God would rescue them.
Additional Reading Suggestions:
Read Romans 10:9-17.
