Children of the Bible預覽
Being a kid is awesome, but there are some things that you’re probably looking forward to but can’t do because you’re still too young. You’re too young to get a driver’s license. You’re too young to ride some of the rides at a theme park. You’re too young to buy a house and you’re too young to get a job.
We often think that the older people are, the wiser they are. Mostly that’s true, they’ve lived longer and experienced more and we can learn so much from people older than us. This doesn’t mean that younger people, children your age, don’t have lots to offer.
1 Timothy is a letter written by the Apostle Paul to Timothy. Timothy was a young man who travelled with Paul on his missionary journey, and later Timothy became the leader of the church in Ephesus. Paul writes to Timothy to encourage him, give instructions, and guide him as he leads the church. Paul encourages Timothy to focus not just on right teachings, but right living.
Timothy was leading people younger than him, around his age and some much older. People might have thought Timothy was too young to be leading a church. We read today how Paul encouraged Timothy in this area too.
We can take the same encouragement Paul gave Timothy. Remember that you’re never too young to be used by God to do great things.
