Mindset Matters: 5 Days of Inspiration for Positive and Optimistic Thinking預覽
It’s always wise to take some time to reflect. To pause and review where you’re at and where you want to go in the future. A good place to start is with your attitude.
It’s hard to go forward, it’s hard to be happy, it’s hard to reach success if you’re negative or around people who are negative. Optimists simply fare better than pessimists. People who see the positive and have a positive outlook are happier and more successful than negative people.
There are challenges we face to be and stay positive. I read this prayer that says, “Dear Lord, so far today, I’m doing all right. I haven’t gossiped, lost my temper, been greedy, grumpy, nasty, selfish, or self-indulgent. I haven’t whined, cursed, or eaten any chocolate. However, I’m going to get out of bed in a few minutes, so I’ll need a lot more help now.”
You can always control your attitude. You choose how you will respond, how you will think, and how you will act. A positive attitude will help you in so many ways. You have only one life, and if it is going to be all you want it to be, you must begin with your attitude. You’ve got to get your attitude right; life is filled with a host of things you cannot control but the one thing you can control is your attitude.
Psalm 118:24 tells us, “This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!” God wants us to be joyful and positive about life. So much in life can be changed for the better when we have an “I get to” not “I have to” kind of attitude.
Your attitude affects your altitude. If you want to be happy, then take charge of the way you look at life. Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you respond to what happens to you. Nobody gets a free pass out of disappointment, loss, problems – nobody. But you can choose how you will respond.
John Wooden, the former ten-time champion basketball coach at UCLA, said. “Things turn out best for the people who make the best of the way things turn out.” Your attitude determines your happiness.
The greatest power any human being has is the power of choice. Look at your circumstances. Look at your life. And you decide. Is God for you or against you? He is absolutely for you. So, you can choose to rejoice and be glad each day.
