A Fresh Perspective預覽
Are you weary too?
"Sorry, I don't mean to sound negative, but I'm so tired right now..."
And while I was sending these words to my friend via voicemail, a thousand alarms went off inside and I heard a soft voice saying, "Déborah, you don't have to sound like that and I don't want you to sound like that."
Yes, there it was again. That quiet voice of truth. But louder than the voice of truth, was the voice of fatigue.
Fatigue can do so many things to us. When we are overtired, we lean instinctively toward negativity, and we forget that nothing is impossible with God!
Is there a lie the devil tried to tell you today? How did you react to it? Out of your weariness, or out of God's possibilities?
"...let the one who has my word speak it faithfully…" (Jeremiah 23:28 NIV)
This is not just about what you preach to others, it's also about what you preach to yourself—and what ultimately comes back out of your mouth. Yes, this is about YOU:
"...the one who has my word…" That is clearly you! You "have" His Word, the Bible.
"...speak it faithfully…" Faithfully means loyal, trustworthy, reliable.
Ask yourself this question, "How am I talking about my situation right now? Who's doing the talking? The fatigue?" And then it's high time to get down on your knees right where you are and say to God:
"I'm so sorry. I sound totally like myself right now and not like You! Now I change my perspective and ask You: Let me see this day through Your eyes, Your strength and Your possibilities! Yes, this will be a good day because You promise me in Your Word that You will help me (see Psalm 120:1 NIV). And of that I am convinced! Amen."
You are a miracle!
Déborah
