Speak Well: Learning the Language of God預覽
Day 6: Hearing the Voice of God
Devotional:
One morning I woke up to my name being called in the form of a whisper. It startled me because I was home alone. My immediate thought was that I was either dreaming or someone had come into my house. I remember walking around the house and looking outside to make sure I was safe, and I immediately called my dad to tell him what I experienced.
After our conversation, I started watching Transformation Church’s rebroadcast and Michael Todd began to preach about how God speaks to him. During that sermon, God met me, and He confirmed that the voice I heard was Him. He revealed to me that He was “whispering my name in the ears of those who need to hear it.” During that time, I was praying that my voice reach those in need and that my name be a reminder or evidence that God is real.
Scripture Breakdown:
God speaks to us audibly to get our attention. In Deuteronomy 4, God is speaking directly to the people of Israel to urge them to obey His Commandments. The same way God speaks to those in the Bible is the same way He speaks to us in our modern day. Receive God’s Voice as a bold nudge that pushes you into Purpose. When God speaks you will know. Never doubt what God has told you to do.
Confirmation is your portion. Speak Well.
D's 3 Keys
D’s 3 Keys are tools that I created to help us become fluent in the Language of God. The three keys below will aid in our ability to understand how God speaks audibly.
1. Ask God to strengthen your discernment. God will give you the gift of discerning His Voice from outside voices.
2. Quiet yourself to receive.
3. Take everything to God in prayer. If you are uncertain about anything, seek God for clarity.
