Jesus Christ Is All in All預覽
All wisdom and knowledge can be found in Jesus Christ
“… in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” (Colossians 2:3)
Many people long for insight, knowledge, and wisdom. Some philosophers devote their entire lives to this end! In Paul's day, the school of Gnosticism flourished. Followers of this philosophy sought hidden knowledge, which they tried to find in mystical and esoteric ways through direct spiritual contact with the divine.
Paul connects to this thinking in his language, but gives a very different meaning to “hidden knowledge.” He states that true wisdom cannot be found outside of Christ. Only those connected to Him can see the truth and apply it. After all, Christ is “the power of God and the wisdom of God.” (1 Corinthians 1:24) He makes known to us the “mystery of God.”
What is the content of that mystery? It is God's plan of salvation, which had already been planned out before creation but was only revealed to humans piece by piece much later. God wants to reconcile the whole world — people from all nations — to Himself through Christ. Through Jesus' death we can receive eternal life. We may be one with Him in His death and resurrection. That is incomprehensible. No one would have thought of this. A mystery, indeed. But one that we may freely share with the whole world!
Thank you for completing this reading plan. We hope you were encouraged to follow Jesus every day! We invite you to learn more about Him in one of our e-courses. Moreover, here is a link to the song we referred to on Day 9 of this reading plan. Listening to this song is an excellent way to reflect on Jesus’ invitation to come and find rest in Him!
關於此計劃
Jesus Christ is greater than all. By Him all things were created, and in Him all things hold together. Moreover, in Him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, and He forgives us all our trespasses, reconciling to God all things, whether on earth or in heaven. If we are united with Jesus, there’s nothing more to long for. He really is all in all!
