Repentance is one of the key actions we all take in coming to know Christ as our personal Savior. Repentance is our action and forgiveness is God's reaction to us out of His perfect love for us. All Christians have a relationship with the Holy Spirit, but not all Christians have intimacy with Him. There is a difference between a relationship and intimacy. A relationship with the Holy Spirit comes through salvation. However, intimacy only comes through the surrender of our lives to the Holy Spirit.
