5My soul, hoo can ye murn and maen?
And hoo sae dowie dree?
O, tell me hoo wi’ dreid are you
Forfoch’en sae in me?
Come, ye maun lippen to the Lord;
Or lang I will Him laud;
My health o’ face, and ilka grace
Are a’ the gifts o’ God.
