Your Spiritual Cow

To most people, spirituality equals religion. Nothing can be further from the truth. God doesn't want us to nurture our spiritual nature for religious reasons. He wants us to do so because as humans, we have a spiritual side and to be fully human, we need to be fully in touch with our spiritual side.

To completely live a successful life, one needs to be in touch with the spiritual side of their lives, and Jesus showed us how to do just that without being religious. 

To be spiritual means that we are aware of our spiritual faculties and are in touch with it. Of course, this starts with our acknowledgement of God as creator and Christ as our way to Him. And for us to be in fully spiritually alive we need to walk in the fruit of the Spirit as well as experience the gifts of the Spirit. These are not given for Church services but for living a spiritually successful life.

The fruit of the Spirit is good for great relationships. A person who has the fruit of the Spirit is great to be around. Can you imagine working for a boss who is full of the fruit of the Spirit? 

The gifts of the Spirit are great for our work related interactions. They are given to us for adding value to other people’s lives. Gifts of the Spirit are there to make you effective in your work. They are there to help you make great decisions, discern the right course, know which way to take on your life’s journey. 

Prayer: Dear Lord, help me to walk in the fruit of the Spirit. Help me to experience the gifts of the Holy Spirit in my everyday life. Amen
