Love God Greatly: Words Matterنموونە

This is one of the verses we´ve heard a million times, right? We know it by heart and use it in our conversations with our children or with other Christians. However, we forget about it very easily. 

“Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” What's in your heart? What fills your heart? What overflows from your heart? The abundance of our hearts reveal our focus and priorities. What we give the most of our time to will fill our hearts. 

Many of us complain that we don't have time to fill our hearts with the Word of God. But we do have time for social media, TV or careless conversations. What happens to your closet when you´ve bought too many clothes? You don't have space for more! When our hearts are filled with too many things, we can't make space for the Word of God to fill them up. 

Dear friend, it's time to do a spring cleaning of your heart and make some room for the Word of God. Allow God's Word to fill your heart, and out of the overflow of your heart, speak words that give God glory and encourage those around you!

Oh Father, fill my heart with Your love. Fill my heart with Your mercy, Your patience, Your joy. Help me fill it with Your Word. In Jesus’ name, amen.
