Love God Greatly: Know Love: A Study on 1, 2, 3 Johnنموونە

How can we know if we love God? We sometimes try to overcomplicate the answer, but the easiest way of knowing is by answering this question, “Do I keep His commandments”?
Sin gets in the way and tries to derail and discourage us. Satan tries to lie to us and tell us we are failures. The world tries to pull us down paths that might look pleasing but are dangerous and wrong.
These verses in 1 John remind us that God’s ways are not burdensome. We have the power of God in us, and we have the ability to overcome sin and live a righteous life. We are capable of seeing what is wrong and what is right, and we are able to silence the lies of Satan by believing the truths of God. On the days when we are weak or frail, we can find comfort in the truth that God has forgiven us. Every day is a new beginning in our quest to love God.
Lord, Your commands are good. Thank You that You do leave me alone but give me everything I need to live a godly life and glorify You. Help me to remember all the help that you give me, and help me to remember to call out to You in my time of need. Amen.

The Apostle John had one clear message in his letters: Love one another. In the letters of 1, 2, and 3 John, the beloved disciple encouraged followers of Christ to love God by following His commands, and to love and honor fellow believers. John’s message is incredibly relevant to us today, offering insight to us as we seek to live like Jesus lived and love like Jesus loved.
