Who Is The Greatest?
The disciples were arguing as to who was the greatest among themselves. Jesus in that context taught that the desire for name and fame and power are not values of the Kingdom of God. But to be great in the eyes of God, we need to humble ourselves and be willing to serve others. This is God's Kingdom value - if you want to be great, you need to be a servant of all!
Prayer: Lord Jesus, remove from me a heart that desires fame and prominence and give me a humble heart with a desire for your glory and a desire to serve others. Let me put to death my pride and humble myself so that I may be great in your eyes. Let me not follow the ways of the world which gives so much importance to fame and position and looks down on the humble. In Jesus' name, Amen.
