Mighty Man Of God When the Israelites were oppressed by the Midianites, they cried out to God for help and God chooses Gideon to be the one to deliver the Israelites. When the Angel of the Lord announces to Gideon that he was going to be Israel's deliverer, Gideon does not accept this - he sees himself as weak and inadequate. But God did deliver the Israelites through the hand of Gideon. Perhaps today, like Gideon, God is calling you to serve him in ways that stretches you and you feel inadequate. But know this - we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength. Prayer: Lord, let us not look at our inadequacies and limitations but look to you in faith for strength and be bold to fulfill all of your destiny for our lives. Lord, we want to serve you - strengthen us for this. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
